Aixiz 50mW green laser died ?????

OK so I just recently bought an Aixiz 50mw green laser from Tterbo.
and today I hooked it up to a 555 timer circuit that I had been using to pulse my 445 build. and instead of pulsing it went dim and from TEM00 to TEM10 (only at a slant) and now when the timer circuit its still dime and that mode.
so I need to know if I burned the driver or the diode
Only 3 volts went into the TTL input.

I measured the output of the driver to be 441mA is that too low

I found out something interesting when I I short the ttl input plug it blanks and when i unshort it blinks full power and goes dim HOWEVER i just metered it and the is no spike in current when I do that
