it would be great to have some AAA rechargeable lithium batteries instead of NIMH but i can find them and would they work better than NIMH

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

but you can get rechargeable cr123 batteries that are lithium but why not AAA

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

You can get AAA sized Li-ion batteries. But those will be too powerful for most devices and lasers.

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

do you think i could get a 3.7 AAA sized battery and use a dead AAA battery and would that give more power with out damaging the laser and give more battery time

Lol, that's what I was thinking before I read your post.I don't see why not....Except you shouldn't use a dead AAA, but some kind of piece of metal :P The voltage is definetly higher, but I don't know about lifetime.I also think that it would kill a direct driven diode wat faster that 2 AAAs ::)

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

No! higher voltage does not mean higher power. There are 3.7V li-ion AAAs, but because of their size, they have very low amp-hour capacity. Two alkaline AAAs offer much more power than a li-ion AAA. 3.7V li-ion AAA-SIZED batteries are NEVER substitutable for regular AAAs. Their are just li-ion batteries with that form factor - trying to use them in place of regular AAAs in any situation is a recipe for disaster.

AAA alkaline are great but dont last long and NIMH last long but dont give out the full power as a alkaline it would be great to find a rechargeable AAA sized battery that lasted long and give out full power. if some one finds some pleas tell me

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

I found some AA rechargeable lithium on dealextreme sku 7260 shame there not AAAs

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

In my strange and bizarre country the lithium rechargeable AAA does not exist :'(

Re: AAA rechargeable lithium are they real

In Australia there are rechargible batteries called "grandcell" which are rechargible alkiline bateries and out put 1.5v, but there is a downside... they only come in AA's.
