Hi,
Let me first apologize for not introducing myself before I asked some questions regarding some lasers. It was rude of me and I hope I can be forgiven
Hello! My name is Michael and I live in California. My interest in lasers went back to when I was a kid. Asking my parents for a laser pointer every Christmas / birthday would be mandatory. Unfortunately, "no" would be the answer every year since they thought I would blind someone (I probably would at the time). It wasn't until the 9th grade did they finally decide I was mature enough and let me build my first laser, a 1 watt blue laser built into an elite series host from canjunlasers :eg:. It was pretty ghetto, with the driver stuffed in the cavity under the heat sink along with a mess of wires, and the 18350 battery held in by an extra long spring, but hey, it worked, and it worked good. Qualifies as a light saber at night. And yes, I have laser goggles, 2 for each of the 405/445, 532, and 660nm wavelengths.
I do not own an army of lasers capable of destroying North America.....unlike some of you guys.... but never-the-less I hope I can become a contributing member of LPF
