Look what "monster" i've found in an old reader, LOL !

I dismantled so much readers and burners, in all those years, that i literally can't count them, but it's the first time that i find a 9mm "high power" (40 mw, LOL) 784nm in a pc reader :p :D

Any other found 9mm units in pc equipments ?

I had, I HAD! But it was some time ago, I believe it was from 4x reader? or less xD Don't know rly.

HP, the old 9100 serie ..... in the second 9100 serie, there was only usual 5,6mm diodes, so i guess that one was the only serie where they used 9mm diodes.

I have also some other strange ones, in my personal collection ..... like this one, as example ..... laser and quadrature detector and preamp in the same can, and a little jewel of holographic optic glued on the window, that usually none considerate ..... yes, there is a prismatic lens and a beam splitter printed holographically on the faces of the cube, and being holograms, they act as real lens and prism, also if only printed on a surface, heheh :)

It's really difficult to focus the holograms with a webcam, cause they appears as light reflections at different angles and depths ..... hope in the second image they are visible enough.
