got the diode mounted on the heatsink fan cooled will be doing test run this weekend

looks good! I found that the eyepeice to a toy telescope works great to collimate the diode, the one I used has a focal length of about 3/4th an inch.

i hope you have a welding mask for that thing as it has no lens

OH, one more thing is that the case to the diode is +! the pin with the black around it is -. just incase you didnt know, there was no information with eather one of mine when I got them... also, it says on the ebay page that 1400ma max, I would start with 1 amp... you may get a lot more from it than you think at that current.

not a lot xmas and all i just tring to make a mount for the lens assmeble that i took out of a vhs camcorder and power it so it can auto focus and zoom
