If the hair is bunched together (like thin braids or something) cutting hair wouldn't be a problem. Individually, the strands are too thin.
BTW FireMyLaser, I believe 'uber' is German for over.  

A good prank with a 600mW laser would be etching profanities into the leather seat of someone's car at a stoplight or roasting your neighbor's pet canary from the comfort of your living room.  ;D

Daedal has a video of my cutting electrical taspe at 25-30 feet at the last flem meet i think. that was with a bad divergance problem.. got that fixed now.

It's one huge shoulder held red laser that blows up aircrafts, tanks and people. You can CLEARLY see the beam, and it has an excellent divergence with minimal IR! Although I don't think you can light a match with it, it would probably just blast the match to kingdom come.

Anyway, it only fires in pulses, like that guy's rangefinder ruby laser on youbube

A ruby laser rangefinder is very powerful. you can put holes in balls of aluminum foil no problem and if you have a hot one or you really load up a cap and your flash tube can handle it , and you don't crack your rod you can put holes in steel with a single pulse.
