My 50mw laser button is stuck, but only when a battery is in it. As the battery is slowly taken out, the button gest less jammed until it clicks normal, but when the battery is put back it no longer clicks and gets stuck sometimes... Not too urgent but it bugs me.

Battery: 18650 LiIon

Hmm what kind of laser is it? Possibly too long a battery, believe it or not their are quite a few 18650's that are actually longer than 65mm. Also sometimes when the back switch starts to slowing unscrew itself the switch can act funny

As Richie mentioned, it's probably a battery length issue. Check the length of your battery, if it's much more than 65mm long, try another shorter 18650 cell.
If you're using a protected cell, it's going to be longer than an un-protected cell, and may not work in your laser.
A simple way to check for your maximum battery length for your unit, is to unscrew your tail cap until your switch works properly, and then measure the distance from a fully seated tail cap to where it is when it stars working; that distance is how much too long your 18650 is.
You'll need a cell that is at least that much shorter than what you have now.

BTW - Welcome to LPF, Robert, if you plan on staying, you may want to introduce yourself in the Welcome section. There is also a lot of useful information in the custom search bar at the bottom of the page.

IDK, I got the impression that the switch was on the side of the host from your description. If so, it may be that the switch has moved from it's seated position and you will need to move it back and maybe try to add a sheet of thin metal to keep it from happening again.

The laser is no longer turning on all the time 😂. The button still gets jammed and its a press and hold button. I have to take out my battery and put it back in over and over and then my laser works for like 10 seconds then dies again 😭.

Yes, its looking like a 301 type with his last post,
has to be the driver with the momentary switch isn't supported much and the battery is pushing it down everytime you put it in.
Robert not much info here to go on, but do you see any type of black foam around the spring inside the part where you slide the battery in? Did you take anything apart for that matter?
Try not to tighten the back cap as much when you do put the battery in.
Also not sure if you are young or not from the US from your posts so this might all be in vane?:(

Yep, looks like you guys are correct and it's a side switch laser; some photos, a link, or more description of the actual laser would help a bunch in the diagnosis! :)

Yeah actually you all are probably right, I should have know it is more than likely a 301 lol.
