hello.. i'm italian. i'm looking for a great powered laser pointer. the best i found out.. is the 500mw sold in focalprice. 293 dollars is fantastic!!!! but.. is it a good laser or not? i found the producer.....shenda.....but in the focalprice forum a moderator told me: Can't say if this is the actual manufacturer
It happens a lot that manufacturers uses the same shell cases making products look identical.

so.... is it a false imitation?....and another question. i see this laser sold in the skylaser site. to find video of this laser8 skylaser) i write on youtube skylasers. the laser seems to be good.... but the price of skylaser...eheheh is HIGH----!! 500dollars for the 100mw version and 1300 for the 400mw version!!! and at focalprice 500mw ( wich DOES NOT EXIST) sold at 293. what's the truth? focalprice sell the SAME laser sold at skylaser... or...sell a FALSE imitation using the same shell case?... i noticed that also optotronics sell pen size laser with good wuality... but seem to use the SAME SHELL CASE of the popular newwish lasers... sold at dealextreme... so.. my great fear is that also focalprice could sell a fake shenda laser.

someone would buy this laser at 293 dollars? i'm waiting for a good review :) i think...500mw NOMINAL are about 250/300 real..... and i hope it has a IR filther....

I was tempted to buy one to see. They are marked <500mW which could be anything; but not likely 500mW. I read a few threads elsewhere that Focalprice makes knock offs of everything. It looks EXACTLY like the Sky Lasers model. I know that someone out there knows the answer. I emailed Focalprice customer service with some questions and they never responded. I also know that most knock offs have NO IR filter and rely on IR to reach their claimed power levels. The custom factories will add an IR filter for a few dollars on bulk builds; but they make it clear that it knocks the stated power level down 20 to 30%. I would feel much more confident if they actually answered my email. Also, on the warning label, the Focalprice laser's wavelength was expressed as a range while the Sky laser model's label looks like it says 532.

this is the answer of......................

While the outer casing of laser pointers can be similar, we actually
manufacture our own laser diodes located inside the laser pointer. It
is also important to see if the green laser pointer has an IR filter
installed as the requirement of the laser diode are much higher. Our
green laser pointers also come with a 6 months warranty which is the
longest warranty in the industry. If you have any further questions
regarding our laser pointer products, please feel free to contact us
at anytime.

Sincerely,

so.....the laser sold at focal prace uses only the shell case...and it's not sure to be IR filtered....... :-/ --------but the saser seems to be the same....also the metal suitcase

Do not buy from focalprice! The laser says "<500mW"...well it is indeed less than 500mW! Probably below 150mW, and it probably also lacks an IR filter. If you want a powerful green laser, go to Optotronics or Novalasers. They have high-quality units. But with high quality comes high price, as well.

The person that bought that got 250mW ir filtered green for $155. So i would be cautious in your criticism of focal price

Has anyone ever purchased a laser from Focalprice?

no. some people just ordered lasers. but i think no one received a laser. focalprice just addeed laser from few weeks.

DON't buy ANYTHING from FocalPrice !!!

I ordered some cheap things like usb memory IN OCTOBER and still didn't receive it.
All im getting with those fu#@ing tickets are excuses and questions about confirming my shipping adress... gave it to them like 5 times so far.

Anyway....if you want a good laser buy an x105 from Novalasers.com
This one should peak at around 120mw. It's bright, it burnes, i think you'll be good if you get one.

You will never get the power stated in a FocalPrice, SZWholesale, QualityChinaGoods Laser product. You would be fortunate to get a laser with 10% of its stated power and if it does have any power it is a fluke and will not last long. Do not believe otherwise...Buyer Beware! The old saying is very true in these cases, "you get what you pay for!"
