I am wondering if with these 9mm diodes that are rated over 500mw's, if any different principle applies to them in terms of drivers or voltage input. The Lm317 driver is acceptable, right? And rckskr drivers, or for that matter, any non-pulsed drivers like these?

The LM317 driver will provide up to 1.5A with good heatsinking. A 500mW diode will dram between 575 and 650mA, so you'd be able to run diodes up to about 1.2W.

Alright thanks, that's what i thought. How about the other drivers? Most of those say on the rating, "50ma-400ma." Are there any that supply enough ma for .5w over?

:banghead: Hmm. I was hoping the flex didn't come up. Haha! If i need to, i'll spend the money for the little guy
