hi,

i have bought a china laser engraving module.
It is a 300mW Module.

on the laserdiode connection i measure 5.6V

i wonder ... is it too high for a good lifetime ??

greetings

Do you know if the module includes a current regulating driver? Do you have a picture of the module, or a link to it somewhere? This could help us identify its power requirements.

a 3 watt 9mm will give out like ~ 2 watt at 5.6 if it's set to use a 6 to 9 volt driver

5.6volts is a odd number post a pic

There's a 250mw laser diode on dtrs site. This picture shows the power output with 5.64v

Of course every diode is different to a certain degree so yours may be putting out more or less than 100mw
But yes we need to see where you're measuring and what you have so we can help you better.

As the diode heats, the forward voltage drop will change ( decrease). The current through the diode is more important than the forward voltage drop.

hi,

it is this laser module 221929851558

and the power regulator like this 291594513358, but the resistor R1 is modified (poti)

greetings
