So Now that we are in a beautiful new house finally with a giant back yard with 150 year old Doug fir's I have resumed my laser me time. I decided to try cooling down different wl and seeing what happens. 532's, although were able to run close to 8 min before I finally got bored and stopped but they were low on power until they warmed up. But my PL-E 100mW 473 seemed to do better cooled down.
Here are some picks. The thermopile is 4 inches deep inside the body so I placed the laser 2 inches away giving my 6 inches. I think this is a fair distance.

This laser normally does around 90-120mW avg so cooling the host more than doubled its power. Anyway just thought I'd share this with you all. This is not something I would do more than once as i don't want to stress the laser from the rapid temp changes.
