465nm closed can 2.6w rated diode






Could be. A link would let us know for sure. Can't really speak about a diode that I know nothing about.
 
I've seen this diode before but disregarded it due to price (was $200+). This is not the N465, of which turns out the N465 is a NUBM07 that has an aftermarket can installed under unknown gas fill conditions. Given the NUBM07 is also rated at 2.6W at rated current, this diode at $150 (same price as N465) and appearing to have a factory can, now seems to be a very attractive price. I'll look for a link to it and include it in an edit.

I can't find any current auction for what the OP is describing, though I did find a completed auction of what I thought he was talking about.

What a pain in the neck to find this. Ebay's search programming is insanely horrible.

During my search for the ebay link I ran across a couple of Alibaba offerings that had the same keyword specs.. this one is interesting, manufactured by "BOB LASER" yet interestingly uses the same edited N1chia datasheet the auction above is posting with the diode.

If this turns out to be an aftermarket canned diode that had the ball lens removed it is not worth having at any price over $100. The lifespan is definitely in doubt. One would be far better off using the 07 with ball lens intact than to buy into this question mark.
 
Yeah after looking at it again I'm not confident that it's actually a factory can.. thought it was while it was being sold by techhood but now that he's no longer offering it and I've seen it pop up in shady seller land, combined with never having any model ID, I'm not so sure about it.
 
hi, DTR had the N465 for 130.00 when they were in stock. Its a great WL.. I still have one brand new from him and I the original packing.
