445nm Laser ! 21buyinhere

Re: 445nm Laser !

Lildutchboy7 try not too use it too much the lens will melt,i was thinking of the PL520B in this host would look very nice only this is a 5.8mm and i would need a 3.8mm heatsink unless i could get one at 3.8mm costume made i have an idea how could make it send this heat sink so he could measure it, or the NDB7675 would look nice then i would need a 9mm, if nothing then a M140
i replaced the lens was very easy i used another 3element lens just to make sure it will screw in then i used an new 3E lens,
this host is nice just have to wipe it all the time :)

Yeah, all the regular lenses should fit inside. I love the look as well, its just so easily smudged by my hands:yabbem:

Re: 445nm Laser !

Alien,
Lifetime does wonders with custom sinks with just a few emails or words.
Way cheaper than you think:) and so easy to get what you might want.
I sent him text pic of my crude little blueprints quite a few times...

Re: 445nm Laser !

Okay, so I recieved the two lasers that I bought today and I'm kinda pissed. Alien and I both bought from the same seller, and it seems that my hosts have some sort of residue or water damage on them. I have yet to fully inspect the host but it was immediately noticeable that these have something wrong.

I feel that the reason these were so cheap is that they were sitting around for so long. I know that they are somewhat mass produced, or are at least more common around ebay, so I feel like we got some old stock they just had laying around and wanted to get rid of. Not happy

I'll upload some pictures here in a while.

Re: 445nm Laser !

Yeah we both bought it from the post I made on the Permanent Ebay thread. My springs were okay, but the driver was not secured in one of the heads. They were packaged well enough as well, I am just dissapointed in the residue that was on them. I used some toothpaste:o and that seemed to get a decent amount of it off, but there is still some work to be done.

Here's the residue that I'm talking about. It was all over the hosts and was difficult to remove:

This is what they look like after a little bit of work but there is more to be done. My camera just isn't good at showing what my eyes can see:

I have a Polishing wheel back home if I need it, but I'll see how this tooth paste method works out.

Edit: If anyone would like to know, The module inside has a diameter of 19.38mm

Do they work well other wise?
In one pick the residue looks like melted plastic? as it kinda reminds me of a toaster that was to close to Wonder bread bag:thinking:
If you think you could polish them well enough yourself I would just ask for some type of money back, more for the principle. Alien didn't seem to have this issue but who knows what condition the others might be, plus the waiting for them again:(
So is the sink threaded in and are you measuring 19.38mm on the threads?
