Hey there I have completed an enclosure for my 445nm labby. Diode is in the MAX-sink.

The blue heat shrinked wires are the current monitor. Black is DC input (6-8v) currently sitting at 7.56vdc. Red bundle is TTL. Currently I have the driver configured in 2 mode.
Low and high. Yellow wire touches + of PSU. Output is 356mA on low and 1856mA on high.

Diode in MAX sink is an A104! 7months and still giving ~2W output!

Last pic is the demo of me killing a pencil. Die pencil!!! :)
In the peak focus area = immediate flames on high output! An audible pop can be heard and a little sprite of flame can be seen.

Well, those are huge heatsinks! they can take about 40W of heat!
I ran this diode for 2minutes on low before I crank up the current.

The idea with this build is to make a portable adjustable 445/405nm laser driver that has both TTL input and realtime current monitoring. All of the above are possible with this unit.
Driver is a Die4laser driver V1.3. They are quite expensive units but WELL worth it!

I am think about adding an on/off and safety interlock. Also a high current mode needs to be added. Panel mount meter would be nice as well.

Work in progress!
