Hi Guys,
This was made from one of the completed modules Bluray is selling.

The host is a waterproof MXDL, which runs on 3*AAAs. I am running off of 3* Rechargeable 10044s. Yes, there isn't any heatsyncings, but I use this mainly for pointing. The whole build came out very solid, the rubber or acrylic washers hold everything right in place, as well as the backwards reflector.

What I did:
1) Rip off LED
2) Scratch off electrical paths on circuit board
3) Glue circuit board to the host
3) Snip module wires to stand flush onto board
3) Glue module to board
4) Solder module wires to Board
4) Carve out reflector, apply
5) Insert rubber washers

Nice first build! Now you're TRULY addicted. ;)

I will make my first build soon as well, a 405nm in some sort of pen style host. It must be a rewarding feeling when you have completed your first build. :)

That's a nice, compact, clean build! You must be enjoying it. Well done! :)

What driver are you using?

How are you running it off of 4.5 volts?  I thought the lasing threshold was about 5?  I know that I tried running mine off of 4.5 volts (accidentally, see my other post) and it didn't lase. The driver alone takes about 2 volts, at least the one I'm using. I'm using a flashlight that fits 6 AAAs.

Very nice-looking build, though!

He's using 10440's. They are the same size as AAA's, but they are 3.7V each. Actually they are 4.2V each when fully charged.

Peace,
