ok now this has been a project that I have wanted to do for a long time and now that all my parts have finally come I couldn't hesitate in building a 405nm laser. this will be my second hand heald laser that I've build from scratch.

the host for this is a small 90 Lumen CREE LED Powered Torch Cat ST-3452. I decided to use a copped heat sink for this build, the laser is using a microboost drive at 440mA and is using a 14500 battery.

I found it quite difficult to put the driver into the pill and still have room for the housing, I made the mistake of drilling out the pill when I could have put it on top of it, but i guess you live you learn.

there are no beam shots up yet as I have only just build this in the last half hour and it is still light out.

Nice little build, what driver are you using?

It has to be some boost driver, right?
What is the power of the diode?

as stated above, it's using a microboost drive. and i forgot to add that it is a 12x from o-like(e-bay)

That looks like the host I just got from Moh!

'cept I'm gonna put a 635 DTR Module in there if it will fit.
I suppose there's plenty of room for the module to stick out the front! :)

Nice job! Do you have an LPM to test it's output?

No sorry I don't, but it is on my long list of laser equipment. And sadly this laser is under repair :cryyy: the mircoboost drive has died in it and I hope it didn't take the diode with it.
