405nm and glow paint

How come when I move the video from it making the lines then to the finished picture it doesn't match up? Did you edit the last picture to look better than it really worked? Why would it be so different? I'm just curious.

In the video it is in the assessment exhibition, where the light couldn't be really controlled. In the end it is shot in darkness as it was meant to be seen. It is slightly altered to compensate cameras gamma and color temperature to match human eye in darkness.

Glow paint I've got best charges from UV and quite ok from blue light. Can't exactly remember but I've seen someone on these forums mentioning green lasers worked for their paint. Can't check laser but green light does nothing for me.
 
It depends on the kind of glow paint. The usual stuff that charges in daylight and then emits a green to yellow glow in the dark can be activated by 445 or 405.

There are some phosphorescent materials that can charge from 532 nm, but they would typically emit yellow, orange or red on discharge. They aren't as efficient as the green variety though, and you dont see them often.
