400mw Green daytime beam visibility

I live in Ireland the sun is something of a myth... :tinfoil: So the sun is mostly blocked out by grey clouds. What kind of beam visibility am i looking at? Solid,near unbroken,broken etc. I know a true answer is impossible,but based on you'r experience.

What kind of power for solid? If at all even possible.

You should have an amount of visibility during the day, especially when looking down beam. And at night your friends miles away will be calling saying, "Are you playing with your laser again?"

Grey clouds will definitely help but add some fog into the mix and you will have yourself a gnarly beam

100W or so 532nm should be nicely visible on an overcast day.

There is no true answer to your question, it's like asking what the weather will be like in 7 years time.

well... if you have a strong enough green laser! :lasergun: i am talking around 200mW it could be slightly visible, that's if your concentrating to find the beam. and wicked at night!

my green laser is only 70mW and i can see the beam! quiet clearly indoors during the day with fair amount of light.

My 100mw is quite visible during the night, but then again, so is a cheap "5mw" greenie off ebay. I would say 200mw for a good solid beam at night.
