It may be 300mW true. Two thirds of which is IR due to poor crystalline structure and synthesis procedures . You may be viewing 100mW of 532nm light if your lucky.

Another user on the forum USABRO I believe his name is mentioned this laser as well IIRC(he mentioned it only cost $15 to make it 1W, which yours shows also).
Anyway, you aren't going to get a brand NEW 500mW-1W 532nm laser for around $200-300(at least not today), you got scammed

i got these lasers today. dude they are pretty badass. i have no way to test them. Maybe its bc im new to lasing but dude. these things are uber bright in the night sky. could easily get in trouble with them if one was irresponsible. Plus i was complaining about what you guys were saying about the greenie and they are letting me return it for the refund, but now im not sure i wana send it back! if btb is brighter than this thing--than OMG BRO!
