Please don't listen to usabro... he just destroyed his diode with a drill bit. Nothing personal usabro but you've got a lot to learn before you start helping others.

So there is no way to fix it because I just got it and my parents will be pissed off if they found out it was broken

There's always a way to fix it... it's just the cost in replacement parts. Don't know what's wrong with it until someone looks at it. If you just got it why not return the laser? Get a new one, no?

MrMark since the tail cap isn't the problem perhaps it's because you put the battery in backwards. A lot of these cheaper lasers don't have reverse polarity protection.

I don't know because I don't own a Laser Power Meter. They are cheap have a lot of infrared light (dangerous stuff) but for the price work for awhile. Remember these are $8-9 for a reason, they are complete junk quality!!

I have no problem lighting matches with these when focused.

ok thanks i will probably not be buying that model cause no ir filter but thanks:)

I think you put the battery in wrong. No reverse polarity protection.

Laser is probably dead.

Also a good bit of that 250mw is probably ir so be careful
