O.K. Today I managed to break this down all the way today. It was actually easier than I expected it to be.
Using a vice just to hold the Main Body, with the silver & Brass Cylinders facing down. I applied heat using a torch, and in a short time the brass cylinder containing the LD and circuit board fell out.
Here is everything that fell out.
