the flashlight is case negative, positive towards the front, negative at the tailcap. i havent seen a case positive flashlight before... i thought only green lasers were.

I think at least one of the 635's is case positive as well.

If it's case positive, the + end of the battery is towards the tailcap. My Microfire aspheric is case positive.

hmm, so I guess I was mixing up the terminology.

Idk why but to my thinking case = main body of the host.

It is. The tailcap end is normally the same electrical potential as the case / body, therefore if you put the positive end of the battery towards the tailcap / switch it's a case positive build.

***UPDATE***

Received the flashlight and battery... very nice thrower.

The tailcap is kind of mushy, but works perfectly.

Last question for you Steve, this is a 1 mode light right? Partial press for instant on, full depression for constant on.
