the "dot" is pretty smudged ... i am certain that there are fader stripes on the top and bottom and it is not a complete circle... but on the shaky photo it looks like almost a complete one ...

I think it should be a 445nm diode and a shaky photographer .. also the color can be easily altered in photoshop or other image editing program... :beer: although it appears more blue to me

Lot of 405 diodes also look like that. Circle, but with darker strips at top and bottom.

Aren't blu-ray diodes supposed to be single mode with fine dot?
