Yep. The first day i have my dx 200mw red, i manage to burn out a load of pixels on my pc screen. When i turned on the laser, it was pointing at the pc, and was focused. When i moved it - A load of pixels wern't working =/

I think that in the best interests from your PC, you should stop.

That sux man... but really this screams for some pics. ::)

Yep. Pics are worth 1,000 words.

I've shined mine at my screen a couple times but never tried or accidentally burned pixels! ::) I wonder, is yours a LCD or an old tube?

Lcd screen.

I will post pics tommorow, but not sure how well they will show, My camera isn't too great.

Hehe, I once burned my phone's screen intentionally. Yeah, it showed a few dead pixels o.0.

Also, my computer screen has some dead pixels it didn't have before, but that can be anything really, as I recently moved it.

I'm so worried about that happening to my LCD screen. I'm trying to move my laser projects out of my room.. lol

I did this to my screen, too!

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I FUCKING HATE MYSELF.

My laser has flashed over my laptop a few times. Luckily, no dead pixels :D I'd be pissed as anything if my new laptop got dead pixels, at least you can replace the screen on desktops :-/

Yeah, but it ain't as easy as just buying a new monitor and swapping it over. You'd need a tech to do it.

Unless you're competent with computer repair, which I'm not. :-/

I think you're underestimating yourself. It really isn't hard to do. But if you're one of those guys who don't even have a toolkit at home, you may want to call someone. ;)

I had to leave all my tools behind when I went to live on Uni Campus, otherwise I could probably risk doing it myself :)

What would compel a person to shine a burning laser at his own LCD? I'd be afraid it'd reflect and blind me even.

Iv burned a few on purpose on my laptop, but it was in the lower left corner, and you have to get close to even notice they're there. heh, I burnt a "XD" face into this weird key on the keyboard that doesn't do anything. Well its not really a key, its like an empty gap that HP decided to make look better by placing a piece of plastic on it... I'll have to post a pic sometime.
