1973 Schematic/patent for military laser gun

pew pew pew is what I think! Laser guns are awesome, I had to make a few to play around with about a year ago & haven't lost any interest with shooting them every once in awhile

Hey what's up with the pistols in your photo? Can you understand that schematic? Looks like you can judging from the photos.

Thanks, it is amazing to how long this tech has been out and it's all new to me! Looks like he can set the beam to kill electronics?

I'm not an expert with schematics like this but I did have a lot of help when designing the circuitry inside the laser guns pictured in my sigfile. That schematic you've linked seems like there's a little more than necessary when trying to 'monopulse' fire a laser. Assuming I'm correctly understanding that's what you're looking for, an extensive schematic might not be necessary

Interesting read, it's fun how all the old circuitry and logic gates are described. Today the controller would probably be far more advanced :)

All the electronics shown in the patent schematic could
easily be replicated today in firmware using an 8pin MCU...
