It all depends on where your going to use it? Will you be outside or inside? If inside how big will the room be?

Definitely go for a 500mW ;) I have a labby running at 141mW right now and it seems like it would be fine for smaller shows as long as you have good fog. I haven't used any smoke or anything yet so I can't say how bright that'd be but the beam is visible is a well lit room.

ok if the beam is visable in a well lit room then in the dark and mist or fog or humidity or whatever im sure it will be fine..

i have looked up youtube videos and 150 is hela bright in the dark.

150mw will look like an green led outside.

150mw is good for your home but no good for anything else. you need at least 500mw for doing shows

30mw green is poo for a club, trust me.

im only offering advice and experence, you can do what you want

well i am going to start with the 150 labby (analogue) and have a 300mw red built (analogue) by BlueFusion ..

I think that should be good to start, considering i didnt own a single laser, im trying to take this slow..

I can always upgrade later..

no i got in to lasers because that are cool
i have already spent 600+ in the past 2 weeks..
i plan on creating a nice full color scanner eventualy, but i have to start somewhere
