Hi! I would like to try out blue lasers so I would like a 10mW blue one. I searched web for it but I couldn't find any. Does anyone know where I could find it for a low price?

Thanks in advance.:yh:

Laserglow has a really nice ~10mW 447nm for sale. Low price? Not really. I've yet to see any low-powered blue lasers for less than the cost of a high-powered one. If anyone has found anything for a better price, I'd like to know about it. Z-Bolt has a 5mW 450nm for a relatively good price. It's on sale for $150. I've seen some 5mW 445's show up on eBay for around $100, but they always come in the New Wish hosts.

Ok, I guess nothing about 10mW blue for me. I heard that 5mW blue doesn't have a bright beam at night. Is it true?

What wavelength of blue are you asking for? If it's 473nm I can provide a night picture at EXACTLY 5mW.

if you are looking for something cheaper then 473nm and 455nm try 405nm laser pointers on ebay, they sell at $5.

be aware most of them is a lot overspec reaching 30-60mW and you must use goggles for that

With that in mind, remember that 405nm is purple and you won't get much of a beam on it.

I'll have pictures in about 12 hours

Yes, of course, 405nm beam is barely visible but it's much cheaper. Consider that you are paying 20x less for it

For the most part, 405nm lasers will appear blue due to Bezold-Brücke shift. It's also a color that our eyes don't normally distinguish all the time, so at these high intensities, your brain will most likely mark it as a pale blue (as mine does). It's basically the color of a black light but much brighter. 405nm lasers are currently my favorite wavelength because of these odd properties. I'd take pictures for you, but my camera also has a hard time seeing this Violet, for it captures it as a dark blue.

If you're just looking for some 405nm pointers I have some for sale in the link in my signature that come with power meter printout sheets (along with glow in the dark stuff that goes nicely with it)

What is approximately the output power of that laser?

It'll look like a keychain laser, but blue. My 1W 445nm will put out about 5mW if I cut the voltage in half.

Considering the threshold for the 1W diodes is around 250mA, I'd be surprised if you could get anything lower than 100mW before it stops lasing.

Anywhere from 3-40mW blue or green, if you'd like one in a specific range I could try to pick one out for you. You can private message me if you're interested. ;)
