1064 nm pointer from Jetlasers

I have some doubts on the IR 1064 nm pointers from Jetlasers.

a beam from a 1064 nm pointer should be "round" and should have a better divergence (DPSS laser) if compared to a 808 nm (rectangular beam and bad divergence...multimode laser). But the specifications seem the same :thinking:

The whole "near TEM00, rectangular" is a contradiction. TEM00 is a nice gaussian beam, a DPSS would come close to that. Rectangular is very far from TEM00, that's what you would expect from a high power diode. Reminds we of WL calling the arctic TEM00, same BS.
 
BTW this situation does not give points for a positive reputation of the company, IMO...
