100 each 650nm? 5.6mm Laser Diodes

I bought 100 each 5.6mm laser diodes with windows on their cans on ebay hoping they would be something really cool, since the seller didn't know what they were I took a chance at buying them for 100 bucks about 2 years ago. I just now got around to seeing what they are, they appear to be 650nm, perhaps a bit shorter wavelength and produce about 15mw of raw output into a laser power meter. They produce a three striped output, never seen that before, has anyone seen that before? They draw around 120ma.

Hmm sounds very interesting. I'm sure these diode are specifically designed for some lab application. Pictures please!

They draw whatever you push through them. On what are you basing this 120mA?

Lets see some pictures! I thought about getting a 100 pack(haha) of those 200mw red diodes from techood and selling them off but unlike you im not great at taking chances XD
