I bought a really inexpensive laser pointer from DealExtreme a while ago, and it never worked, but I decided to not care and just use it as a host for a new laser project. Problem is that the inside diameter is 10.5mm and Aixiz modules are 12mm (right? I don't have any on hand). Are there any decent modules for standard 5.6mm diodes that are 10.5mm or less? I'd be OK with a press fit if it works, but there's not a lot of margin we're dealing with here, obviously.

Thanks guys!

Yup the Aixiz module is 12mm. And as far as I know there is no 10.5mm module for 5.6mm diode, so you probably have to ask one of the machinest's to make you one, Eudaimonium is a good person to talk to ;) he offers good quality product with very good price

You'll have to get the module custom made or get the head of the laser machined out. At 10.5mm you may also have to get a smaller lens barrel.
