Hi,

Well, not so much of a build as fit a diode :yh:

This is the kit I was super lucky to win in the Mogasam JAD givaway a few weeks ago

I made a new heat-sink which is a direct press, (Aiaxis's just doesn't seem right to me:confused:), pressed in the diode and fit battery and powered up. (If it were only that simple! but that's another $45 story:eek:)
The driver was tested before fitting the diode and is doing 1.62A exactly - - - nice.

It's been tested on a LPM and is outputting 1.5w with a 3 element lens.
I've some basic safety glasses, but these are only blocking 90% of the 455, so 150mw is still being trasnmitted, but I'd rather get hit by effectivley a 150mw than 1.5w, at least until I get a more effective pair of SGs;)

I realize it makes sense that 150mW is safer than 1.5W, but that's like saying a 150kT atomic bomb is safer than a 1.5MT hydrogen bomb. They'll both kill you dead anyway.

150mw is NOTHING to play with. So don't treat it as any safer than 1.5W.

Totally agree, like .50cal or a tank shell.
