Any 1W Guardian owners here (520nm)? Hows the divergence with a simple collimator? (G2, G7, etc.) I'm trying to get something that's not as bad as MM 445 diodes. I'd love to have something like my 100mW 405. Simple GRIN lens and I'm under .5mRad!

Thank goodness for backup power systems! Trees down everywhere, nearly impossible to travel over roads without roadblocks, etc. I like the wind but when the gusts are hurricane force, it gets old after a while. Cleaning up the trees and mess is going to take some time as well.

Kicked the habit a few years ago and now find myself into building coils, mods, etc. Nice thing is don't need to fire up a fog machine when I want a good beam show! And power! Strong, real, 18650, 20700, and 21700 cells!

What a flashcube is! Anyone have one or a flashbulb? Will Class IV 445 ignite the magnesium wool inside? I may have one in the attic, I have a few BIG ones and those are scary. Like to try a tiny one first.

How does it hold up? What about Enloops (1.2V)? The cold weather allows for longer run time but the MCA is also too cold to be optimal.

Does capacitance in the driver circuit cause the diode to glow briefly after power is cut or do these exhibit a short persistence like a phosphorescent screen?

Do you notice a "dot" that "follows" the beam if you move it fast across a lawn at about 50 feet away?  The illusional dot can also be quite a distance away too. This is with 100+ mW at 405nm.  Does not happen with green. Do it at night of course!

Anyone observed intense afterglow in NON GITD stuff with a decent amount (100mw+) of 532? I have some fluorescent liquor glasses (they're fluorescent orange and definitely do NOT GITD at all) that light up bright orange/yellow when irradiated with my RPL and after a few seconds the dot persists...
