    260W IR Laser pump handheld?

Thank you -- I need to do some research. I'm only finding completed lasers. Mike

    260W IR Laser pump handheld?

I have had the top off and yes, it's full of mirrors but no targeting laser. I need to know how big a hole has to be drilled into the housing where the fiber exited. How large is the first lens you used to grab that expanding beam? Were you able to focus it? The two lenses between the lasers...

    260W IR Laser pump handheld?

I have a MAX 130 too. That damn fiber is a pain. I'm watching to see hou\w you handle it. Mike

Thank you -- I'll go there. Good weather here today. I flew around for almost an hour. Hope you're having fun too. Mike

Thanks RC. That's what I thought it was. Now -- If I remove the fiber connector, how fast does that beam diverge? I think I saw someone here report that he had to enlarge the orifice with a drill. I can/t find his post.. Do you remember the location of that project? Mike

Has anyone seen the promos for the high power laser guns? They appear to be fiber lasers but coupled into optics. --- Mike

    FAP Laser Module Columniation

RC----- I'm now messing with a real fiber laser ! 915 nM @130 Watts !And that through a VERY TINY fiber. I'm currently trying different cutting methods but all GTH when only about 10 Watts is applied. Mike

    FAP Laser Module Columniation

I looked at your info and I'm not sure mine fits. The FAP unit has 19 laser diodes in a row. there are 19 fibers connecting these to an output connecter with 19 individual fibers. These, with a lens, will project an image of 19 dots. Will your info work with this design? I'll try your...

    FAP Laser Module Columniation

I have a 40 watt - 808 nM laser module. The output is a SMA connector. the beam is highly divergent. Has anyone found a good way to get that beam under control ? I copied an article from LPF long ago about using a biconcave lens. I'm getting minimal results. Mike

Q-switched handheld lasers, do they exist?

I did the same thing with an SSY-1 but broke the tube trying to move the heavy leads. I can't find a flash tube which will drive it to full power. I think it had some Kr in the mix. Try to find a replacement !!! I have a tube which gets a weak lase but doesn't seem to get up to Q level...

Looks real bright. Anything "Tactical" must be good.....

Look for the bright green laser to repel the birds in the daytime.

Lasers aren't very effective. Like RC said, you need to move the spot around them but they only move a couple feet. use qty: 2 1 x 4 x 18" Pine boards and slap them together to produce a bang.... Hint: Keep your thumbs from between the boards when in use :ROFLMAO:

How does Nd:YAG rod length affect laser output?

Sorry -- I asked because flash tubes were mentioned in above posts. I saw those tubes you mention and they are arc lamps. High pressure lamps blow up if flashed. (lucky I was wearing glasses) !!!!!! Thanks for looking.

    Keeping your food all-organic :)

Organic is carbon based as I recall from chemistry class...... Scan that food with a big laser and cook it on the outside:oops:
