Heh, I probably would've taken both off your hands, but my patience gave out in record time and I pulled the trigger on a couple lasers from Rayfoss and sprung for the DHL rush shipping (I'll do a photo review for anyone interested). That said, I actually know a couple people in the market right...
All the reviews for the lasers are painfully obvious in being fake/planted. tmart, this type of thing is very easy to spot and is more likely to scare customers away then lure them in.
EDIT:
Out of the market already, got impatient and ordered a couple lasers from Rayfoss. I'll be reviewing them for anyone interested.
Hey everyone, I'm looking to purchase a 405nm blue/violet laser used or new, as well as a 650nm red laser. I started my own 405nm build a while back but wound...
Now that LPF is running new forum software, now is a great chance to make some real changes and turn it into a real "LPF 2.0". I figured I'd throw out a few suggestions on how you could really help improve the site.
Skin
I can't say I'm really a huge fan of the new skin. My major grievances...
Not a fan of the current skin, or the default post font which is just larger than it needs to be. Also, the large space occupied by a user's name and basic info at the top of every post makes for a large amount of unnecessary vertical scrolling.
BackSlash is pretty modern looking. I like arctyc's more minimalist design (particularly the font choice for the logo), but really dislike the sidebar. Black Teal looks decent as well.
I recommend picking one skin and making it the only available skin. In my experience with forums, the...

I like how people have near-death experiences and claim they've seen the light. When you get into the ER, it's not uncommon for them to check your eyes using a flashlight. That's not the power of God, it's the power of Maglite.
PeerGuardian is nothing but snake oil. Sure, it might block known addresses from connecting, but it's entirely likely that they are using unknown IPs on a normal business line. Furthermore, all blocking the IP will do is stop you from directly connecting with that IP. The companies can still...

Must say I'm very pleased with BudgetGadgets' customer service so far. Emails were very fast and in perfect English, along with being very polite. They offer placing a 5 mW warning sticker on more powerful lasers to reduce the chance of the laser being seized by customs.
For those interested, LED Shoppe offers free gifts if you sign up for their newsletter. You must order using an email signed up for the newsletter, otherwise they will remove the free gift from your order. Here's an image containing the codes and a list with the codes in italics...
Harbor Freight also has helping hands available with two clamps and a magnifying glass for $1.89 on sale, so those and the thermometer will get me to take a trip there this weekend (or possibly sooner). Assuming they have one in stock, I'll build one of these as soon as I get home with the...
Also worth noting are the helping hands for only a $1.89. Good for holding your laser steady or clamping down the button on pen-style pointers that require the button to be held down. Magnifying glass too.
Thanks for the link to that coupon list. Between the thermometer and the helping...
I've checked the above poster's previous posts and everything is spam, with the exception of a thread asking how to change signature size and color, which he then uses to spam.
The amount of voltage you recommended, that's for a rckstr driver, right? I think this was the guide I was following a year ago and never finished and I've got a 90mA rckstr driver and need to know how much power to give it. 2 18650 3.7v batteries should do the trick, right?
