It's a great laser!!! It's too big for my taste, though... :( I believe it is the optical assembly that required quite a space, is it? I'm so all over this if you manage to make it way smaller (probably a third of current one) and brighter (around 50mw maybe) for the same current price of $400...

I second Gazoo. it is easy to get 100mW from AAA pen pointer, and it is exponentially difficult to get it to perform above 100mW, not to mention 150mW. You need a very efficient driver circuit and a very efficient crystal. Unless you send your high power unit for review as everybody here has...
