    Laser Expander

Hi all, I need a laser expander. I want to expand a laser beam out to about two inches diameter. Is this reasonably possible? What type of laser expander should i go with in this case? Any tips for expanding the laser?

Making a Laser using DLP Projectors

LOLOLOLOLOL. WOW. Is English your third language? You are really a quite misunderstanding and confused person. I understand how lasers work rather well. I know that he didnt have one beam from a single diode or anything like that. I know that it was diode arrays/block. I even said that...

Hi there, I am curious about scrapping projectors and using their laser diodes to create a, hopefully, cheap and powerful laser. I have recently seen styros video and was inspired by it to try the projector thing. I am wondering if you have any suggestions on the brand or type of projector...

Making a Laser using DLP Projectors

Huh, ok. I was under the impression that DLP meant it would be a laser (I was rather confused when reading the product pages and coming across the word bulb). And if I'd need to just buy the bare diodes/diode blocks I'm not sure I could possibly do this, as one block with NUBM44 diodes is...

Making a Laser using DLP Projectors

I'm pretty sure he said he used knife edgers from DTR, either way that's not the biggest deal. "Relaitively cheap" to me in this situation is under $500. I have found quite a few DLP projectors online for very very cheap. For example here's a bunch of projectors for what may be a good price...

Looking for an awesome laser host

Hi all, I recently got myself a https://sites.google.com/site/dtrlpf/home/diodes/6w-nubm44-445nm-laser-diode (NUBM44 7W laser) and am looking for a host. I am willing to spend a litle on it if it looks radical. Something along the old Eghemus lines would be cool. It would be really cool if...

Making a Laser using DLP Projectors

After viewing styros video I would like to create something similar (no it hasn't got to have the same wattage). I just want to know how he was able to create a coherent laser beam using the DLP projector diodes. What are the best diodes? Is there a large difference in brand? I am very curious...

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Don't know if anyone is still looking at this, but I figure it's worth a try. Well after viewing styros video I would like to create something similar (no it hasn't got to have the same wattage). I just want to know how he was able to create a coherent laser beam using the DLP projector...

Looking for an awesome host for my laser, something like an Eghemus host

Hi again, I have gone ahead and ordered my parts to make my laser, and now would like to have a really cool host for it. I was thinking about spray painting a nerf gun or something, but then I heard about Eghemus hosts and that some people may be willing to make/sell custom hosts. I would be...

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

One last question (probably, at least for a week or two) do I need ot get a host? or can I instantly build this into a nerf gun or something? (I want to make it partially into a cosplaying thing, and spray painted nerf guns are all the rage)

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

O ok, so maybe I'll start with something a little cheaper? or go all out and get the best from the get-go. also are these batteries any good? :http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/401026584238?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_noapp=true I would probably get one of the 8 sets, but $6 for 8 seems to good to be true...

Ok, so for batteries can I get Li-Ion? or should I stick stricly to AW IMR batteries?

Are Li-Ion batteries okay? I can't seem to find anything else really

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Just to make sure I've got this, I can get two 18650 at 4500mAh(for a driver set to 4500mAh) and connect them in parallel, then in series with a switch? (I should look up some videos probably) Also is the eagle series laser glasses (the 190-540nm range) a good brand?

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Awesome, thanks. I'll look into that right now, and good luck with making that heat sink fit! I'll probably have to do the same/similar thing too.

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Don't know if anyone is still looking at this, but I think I now want to get a NUBM44 450nm with the driver and module from DTR's laser shop. Sadly I don't really know how to power this (I do know about switches an alright amount and general circuitry). I'm sure I should use rechargeable...

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Thanks for the replies! I guess I was (am?) a little more ignorant than I thought! Seeing as the 100W idea would cost me so much money, and I have nowhere near the expertise, I think I'll settle for something along the lines of a 2W-7W build(I know it may still be hard, but I'm willing to give...

    The Most Powerful Laser Gun

Hi All! I'm new here and I think I'll be needing some help. I'd like to create (on of) the most powerful homemade laser gun. I was inspired (partially) by this: https://youtu.be/iVrJUbeuG44 (40W laser gun, his video directs you here for help). I want it to be at least 100W. I, sadly, hardly...
