    LED 505 wavelength shift!

this is very weird,i would like to hear an explanation from someone that know how this effect works

Questions about diode and DPSS lasers

your info is old,we has several new direct diodes of various wavelengths over the last 5 years that pretty much covered the visible spectrum nicely except the yellow-orange yet that still are in research and testing.

    LED 505 wavelength shift!

when a diode or led shifts wavelength its always increasing to higher wavelengths, you did you manage to do the opposite?i see that as your led becomes brighter it turns bluer, that's weird except if i'm missing something

NDG4216 515nm review in the fog

very nice beamshots i own a pl520b diode that running at 110mw and the beamshots are great, those low divergence diodes are best if you want a quality beams,is this diode that you used expensive?i think its the 1st time im hearing of it

Astral Driver - Boost, Buck, & Sepic

get a pico driver for your bdr209,i run mine with a pico without problems.

    BDR-209 advice

hi, bdr209 works great at 550ma for safe current and up to 600ma if you want to push it,my bdr209 runs at 570ma and outputs 930mw which is very nice, don't try to get or pass the 1w range or you will start losing diodes quick.

new nubm49 diode isn't that good

i have bought an ndg7475 from him in the past and looks like it is the right thing and not the lower ndg700,i could push it up to 13xxmw,it wasn't reaching over 1400mw but those number are already in the ndg7475 diode range. about this shipping method i don't know,i mostly use the free and slow...

new nubm49 diode isn't that good

i had this problem with Techhood from ebay, also from the same seller me and RedCowboy had different results on our nubm42 diodes(seems to be different diodes mostly something like 1 nubm42 and 1 nubm49) that got from the same seller. well yeah those nubm49 are not worthy at all,in fact i...

new nubm49 diode isn't that good

hello everyone 2 days ago i received my nubm49 diode for testing and the results aren't that good as we have better choices than this diode. first of all the divergence out the gball is like flashlight exactly like nubm42 i have tested in my previous post, while i could get a good output out of...

New High Power Red VSHIO HL63283HD LD

to get 1.5w safely out of a single diode you definitely have to get the hl63282 as its more capable for higher power, the p73 is only rated 500mw for cw output and we already pushing it hard to over 1w,in best case you can get 1.3w out of it by feeding it 1.3A and no more,it is still too risky...

List of Laser Drivers - Available

looks like it needs 12v to work and that isn't very comfortable on our handheld builds, price also is very close to the other drivers that we widely use.

    BlackBuck 6 POT!

i never used a blackbuck driver to encounter this, happy user of Astralist's driver(if you don't need TTL),i think it can easily be soldered with a fine tip iron soldering and great skills,i have soldered worst that this including an accidentally shorted Astralist's superdrives(1st edition) some...

Question About the BDR-209 900mw diode?

900mw+ is also great no need to push it more for extra less than 100mw,im running mine at 550-560ma and im getting 920-930mw,i guess the diode will fry if i try to push it at 600ma to get 1w out of it :P

Blue Katana, a 70 watt handheld project!

very impressive thoughts for that build, you should definitely use some active cooling because those diodes are running very hot, today i was building a pocket 2x18350 batteries laser and set a nubm05 at 4A,it makes my 20mm copper module hot in 20s and consider that you will use aluminum after the...

    G-ball removal testing

Re: B-ball removal testing my guess is mostly stands to the fact that Chinese sellers heat the whole bank till the soldering melts(around 200c?).Gballs are too easy to extracted cause they don't have good grip at all,so i could imagine those cans start flying and popping by gas expanding at...

    G-ball removal testing

Re: B-ball removal testing very interesting testings,nubm05 is the cheaper and will do the job right,as for sealant i would suggest to use some thermal silicon, its not vaporizing and also has nice grip+ thermal conductivity.generally you see the degrading results in around a month so different...

LPF community dual 44 project, Share your ideas.

very interesting project,i'm still noob on correction optics and this can turn out a very nice and unique tutorial. will you use separate drivers for each diode or you will run diodes in series with a boost driver?

    nubm42 talk and founds

case here is that our diodes have big power difference and i don't think its lpm's problem. from the testing i think there is no clipping output, just a normal power loss due to optics(at least in my case). just care how you touching your lpm and always store it in the antistatic bag,i don't...

    nubm42 talk and founds

im getting the reading with pocket lpm,my hyperion readings are even higher(but i have the small edition up to 2w readings). there is no way to be a 06 as the wavelength is definitely higher than 06's around 455nm like 08's.im getting around 6.5w with good heatsinking and 7 only by cooling it...

    nubm42 talk and founds

4.2w for 4.5A is very low for this diode, are you sure that you are not running the diode very hot? with EDIT: gball*it can very easily hit 6.5w and with some extra cooling i passed the 7w.or your 3 element could be wrong coating?
