Historic story since I haven't posted in a while and this occurred in 2015.
I was using a 100mW 405nm to charge a section of an object 3D printed with glow-in-the-dark filament. Sounds fun, right? I had suitable eye protection available but I wasn't wearing it on this occasion "as it's only...
I've watched the video, it certainly seems to produce a lot of steam. The inventor states he is not a scientist and doesn't necessarily understand all the science behind it, and the scientist that visited it stated that the measurements weren't strictly scientific and no conclusions could be...
Re: PERMANENT THREAD: Ebay& other internet FINDS of interest- read all the OP please
Indeed - I use a VFD to drive a three phase hydraulic pump from a single phase supply. Can chose the output voltage/frequency you want, it soft starts and has overcurrent protection - VFDs are clever bits of...
Get a hobby charger* and check their capacity with a charge/discharge cycle. I've checked hundreds of salvaged 18650s, some are 600mAh, some are 2400mAh, personally I keep anything over 1800mAh and send the rest for recycling.

Correct me if I'm wrong but he's looking at a phone screen while pointing the laser into the camera via a reflection? While ridiculously stupid because of the proximity to his face, the risk is his outlook and any damage will be to his eyes alone.
I'm all for people making their own judgement...
1mW or less probably fine for most people, 100mW+, old enough to make sensible decisions to mess with danger. I'm not convinced I'm old enough and I'm 38 ;)
It sounds very interesting from the website. They do state that the output is guaranteed, and that it's not like the others with false claims no output power.
