Sorry for the delay, haven't been on for a long time. Thank you, i thought the same when i saw it. Would love to be able to do that in a isolated place.
Your laser most probably has excess IR laser radiation, so follow laserbee's advice and be careful, your laser is most definitely a Class IIIb due to the amount of 532nm and 1064nm radiation passing through. As for duty cycle, it is always safe to have one even for low power lasers, just so you...
It should be but for some reason the divergence seems to be pretty good, The M140 appeared to have a divergence of 2.75mRad roughly (at best, wasn't easy to focus/collimate), but although untested due to time issues, it seems to be a lot better. The beam seems like it has a 4mm fast axis, and...
Thank you in that case it is 5mm x 2 mm at 1.5mRad. But i am sure that the the M140 divergence specs were higher, and far more recognisable as a multimode line with a vast and wide fast axis. Was this just the G-2 lens? And is the G-1 lens even worse for divergence?
May I ask, what is the beam specifications on this laser. I need to know the beam height and width (Line if like M140 diode), and divergence of both axes. I am trying to work out exactly how much more effective this laser would be compared to my 0.75W Arctic S3.
Re: 2.8 Watt BIG BOY single diode blue laser 3X18650 !!! ULTRA HEAVY PICTURES !!!
Well Done on your build, I agree with eytyxhs, you overpowered your LPM with a Filters.
Your 2.8W result was the highest you could of got with your LPM and filters. '2.00 * 1.41 = 2.82W' I have heard that you...
@EliteFunk
Powder Coated Steel would work nicely, i put some in a laser cutter to engrave the coating off. It looks a lot more professional than engraving wood and plastics.
Do O-Like lasers meet the specification or do they come underspec? Also, what do you suggest i do with my Wicked Arctic S3 1W, i bought the laser a while ago before Wicked Lasers guaranteed the power output. I don't think it is fair that new customers are purchasing the same product for the same...
Re: Proof that the 50W CW FAP800 exists
I have a FAP-I FAP800 50w, i have yet to buy a driver for it though, but i am going to make three dpss-fd attachments to it though.
532nm
473nm
671nm
The FAP800 is integrated and has the TEC built in. I bought it from ebay, for around £120 but i did have...
