As chefla said directly no, as regalis said its over the top, but you could and you possibly could make it into a Buck boost with adjustable current, note I said "COULD" it would take some engineering.

^^^^ That my good sir is an oximoron (I think) since HIgh voltage is not safe and playing with it isn't either, yet wearing something that will emit HV is definetly not safe. As for the ground wire, not really donna do too much good, since both the negative and positive of the HV will be coming...

OK, my bad on the 1cm/KV part I knew it was smaller then 1in, as far as making the 50KV or so TV flyback transformer procured from... well a TV, there are plenty of documented drivers for them.

@wolf stand rule o thumb is 1KV/cm or so (I think) and as for an arc from finger tip to tip with fingers spread out... I believe thats 30-50KV.

JIb and anybody else you see having a purple PCB with gold throuh hole plating uses PCB Order | DorkbotPDX. Like I said it's $5/in^2 for 2 sided board just use eagle cad.

I agree use eagle cad, then you can join the rest of us who use dork bot PCB for $5 per square in double sided. As for traces and what not, I've been told by an associate who used to work for Crown fork lifts designing their PCB's that it's not advisable to use 90deg turns on small traces...
