A little noob help on the DDL driver...

Hi and welcome to the forum, I would recommend you post detailed pictures or diagrams of the project you are working on and with more details on the test load, input source, etc. It will be much easier to help you then. One thing I can say for sure is you need at least 3V more on the input...

JLSE - Laser not arriving. Uncontactable for past month.

oh man, it's happening all over again :D ... joke aside Joe HAS disappeared before in the past but eventually came out nicely. Not sure why he would delay your laser but I am sure he has a reason. OR he's gone bonkers :D ... Sorry about that. I am a little sick and craziness is getting me too :D

    Continuous positive?

indeed! leads need to be close to the input/output and as short as possible.

    Continuous positive?

if you think about it any driver - linear or other needs both contacts of the battery. you can't just dismiss one or the other. So if you have case positive you also need the ground of the battery to have access to the driver. if you could post a diagram of your project it would be much easier...

    Continuous positive?

you can upload a picture to photobucket or other free image space site and link it here. I don't think you will be able to find a boost driver that uses the negative side to boost the voltage. If you can use two smaller batteries in series say 2x 16340 instead of a single 18650 would do the...

    Third boost driver not working....

if you can hear that sound it means the input power is dropping below the point in which it can sustain regulation. pretty sure it's a input power supply problem

    Limited Offer (iDrv3, FMT2) Drivers

i am not sure how you plan to put it in the module but I wouldn't recommend even trying. the is meant to be put on a heatsink with flat base. there wouldn't be enough space in the module anyway - the components will get in the way especially the inductor.

    Third boost driver not working....

the fmt drv is a buck/boost up to 6V input and 6V output. you can't use 7 diodes unless the current is very small. for 445nm you need to use 3diodes tops for high currents. they will give around 5V output

    Third boost driver not working....

if all the drivers are behaving the same i suspect it's a battery/power supply problem, as ben said too much internal resistance. check you cables too they might be too thin and heat up and add resistance. i am pretty sure at least one of your drivers must be ok. if you need help with the...
