Thanks for the feedback (I've always wanted to try a flowbee just to see haha)
It is important that stylists follow the instructions that come with the kit. In those instructions they are asked to blow off excess hair with their hair dryer. Without the collar hair can get caught in the folds...
Thanks guys!
I purposely didn't share the product website mainly because I don't want to have everyone read the pitch before the survey. If you think you found it...you did. Not many products of this type and only one of the name. For the survey I want people going in cold.
The more responses...
Hello Everyone!
I don't mess around with lasers anymore unfortunately, but I am still building things or trying at the very least. I am working on a startup that is producing a product for men's haircuts.
We are trying to get a gauge on people's experiences while getting their hair cut. Men's...
I believe between 30-45 min. I can test it if you'd like. It also has a car adapter that it can run off of completely so with that it's as long as you want. The original bulb for the light was an inefficient 120W halogen so the HID actually slighlty improves the battery life. I only ever run it...
Re: 100W HID Spotlight - Price Reduced $250
Price reduced x2
Dropped another $100. I just have a stereo project I want to splurge on otherwise I wouldn't even sell it :)
I believe the reflector is ellipsoidal. Thank you very much for the information. I will continue with the large reflectors unless someone has another suggestion.
Hello all,
I have a pretty simple question that I cannot for the life of me find an answer to. By removing any shielding (high beam cutoff) and adjusting the depth of the HID lamp in the housing can you focus the light into a tight beam for long throw? I've had good success with big traditional...
Re: 100W HID Spotlight - Insanely bright and still portable
I have had no issues with the SLA and they a quite inexpensive to replace if that were to be necessary.

Here is a quick clip of the light on a water tower. It can light it up from much further distances as I mentioned earlier but for the purposes of the video there are trees that get in the way.
The good stuff will come tonight or...
Re: 100W HID Spotlight - Insanely bright and still portable
Flashlight/spotlight ratings are always iffy but what I can say unequivocally is that this light is the brightest light you can get your hands on with very few exceptions. There is a short arc light I saw someone made but you are...
The answer is a complicated "yes absolutely". Candlepower is an outdated misleading measure that spotlight manufacturers use to hype their weak products. Lumens is much more useful as a measure of light output. I'd ignore any rating in candlepower.
To give you an idea high end luxury cars have...
Hello everyone,
I have been gone for a while but I built this crazy spotlight awhile ago and it's time for a new project.
The light was a Thor with 130w halogen. The halogen was under powered and not very impressive. I removed all the internals and replaced the bulb with a 100W HID and managed...
I have to agree with Trevor and ARG. Your gopro would be way better for any video ideas you have. It has a much larger field of view and a much higher resolution, frame rate, capacity, you name it. Strap it to your head if you want the FPPOV shots.
The good news is that if it is your ideas...
It does have gfci but I have read elsewhere that this can be disabled. I do not know however how difficult or involved this procedure is. I am $0 invested at this point so if it won't work that's fine. If anyone has some information or experience working around this issue I would love some...
Thanks for the link! I was under them impression that a good amount of thought and planning was required.
Still open to non sgtc options if anyone has any out of the box ideas
