when i got time (HKers are busy all the time) i will also post a review, after a bit longer time using...

Hello guys,
maybe it's a silly question but i need your opinion:
I'm looking for a very good quality laser pen (about 50-80mW) for star-pointing and the cool laser graffiti project (never heard of it? -> Graffiti Research Lab, cool vid, how-to)
It should be a green pen-style (for portability)...
thanks for your fast replies, guys!:thanks:
so as a "rpl" style is only like the opto design :)
has anyone ever build such a laser himself?
thanks
bigG
Since i joined this forum, i read everywhere about RPL lasers. I know that they are bigger than pens, but for what is that a abbreviation and why are they build bigger?
it would be very fine if you can answer a noob a silly question, but i have really no clue what rpl style means.
thanks in...
Does anyone have experiences with this host:
DealExtreme: $3.84 5W AA LED Keychain Flashlight
It seems to be a nice build, cheap and small.
Would it be possible to build a laser with it? Maybe even a blue ray?
thanks
bigG
but how can you focuse it underwater? you must still take it apart to focuse ther lens, if the flashlight waterproof lens is still in front of.
please correct me if i missunderstood it
bigG
one last question, because i am a bit confused. have i to use heat compound in the build? If yes, between the aixiz and the heatsink or between the heatsink and the host?
thanks
bigG
Yes i alredy know your build as a waterproof laser. just downloaded your instructions.
i think this host is really cool when it is modded waterproof
incidentally it's a cool guide... first waterproof i read about
ill think about... maybe i also build a waterproof blue-ray
thanks
bigG
yes, you're right. i'll do it exactly like that
then i have only to measure the inside of the flashlight and to lathe a thread for a set-screw in the complete heatsink
thanks
bigG
Yes, that's exactly what i tried to say :D
And i will measure the host when i get it and let make the heatsink then.
And i think the whole in it for the aixiz should be only a fractin of a mmm greater than he modul itself right? And i heard that it would be good to stick the aixiz in the...
thank you for your fast answers^^
yea, i've already thought about buying a kit from jayrob, exspecially with the Ultrafire WF-602D, but i've decided to build the whole thing myself. I've a friend who can made me a heatsink for my build, so i don't have to buy one. to build the laser myself is...
Hey guys,
i'm planning to build a blue-ray laser with a DX-host
I've some hosts i prefer, but don't know which is the best for my first laser-build! It should be small, unlike the MXDL, the most proposed host for newbies. But also not small like a keychain.
I want to use a PHR-803T Diode in an...

bigG
Yea, hey guys,
