These are great little argons. I have one that was not used for an extended period of time. After a long night of intensive argon care, it lased and is now the more reliable of the two.

I made this out of acrylic and wood a while back. The laser lights up the whole host while it's on.

no need, get a ~20mW argon and run it at idle. mine idles at about 1mW.

I can probably help you out. The VLS has no problem cutting acrylic and i have plenty of acrylic just lying around. What thickness of acrylic do you need? Edit: If it's .125" acrylic, I can probably engrave for the cost of shipping.

Thanks for the advice, i will try and make a mount that would allow for the laser to be clamped. My coherent manual recommends using a piece of paper to find the bright spots.

I have achieved yellow light! Unfortunately this thing would still be more effective as a sieve and no lasing to report yet.

I got the needed parts in the mail today. Here is where the connector snapped. I got the new hose in place. And finally moved the utility module to better accommodate any unforeseen complications. I'm getting more gloves tomorrow, then I'll make attempt #2.

not what, how many. a 20 mile long laser would take around 495,000 18650s i hope whatever laser he's planning on using is thirsty because that's about 1.5 million volts :D
