Had a look on Fasttech, which one is recommended? I want to use on a laser sight that had a faulty unit so it needs a spring on the driver, how difficult is it to weld springs on? I am no expert but have soldered laser diodes/drivers in the past so no complete beginner.
Bit of both really, don't want to pay a fortune, but at same time don't want to buy junk. There is a UK company selling 50Mw (power checked) for £20 which I guess is about $30 and they have 120-150Mw green modules for £50 (about $80 i think) they are reputable and been around along time, so I...
I am looking for a green module, last time O-like and such were around, but they seem to have gone, who do people use now, has any other companies opened up or is DX my best bet for quality/value. Bear in mind i am in UK so Chinese sites are preferential due to their free shipping. Otherwise I...
Have a look at Home - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop, he seems a very helpful knowlegable guy, I have purchased from him aboout 4 or 5 times and have always recieved 1st class service, and he is in UK.
I purchased an Ledshoppe.com 50mw green laser pointer, they are great value and I didnt have...
Ehgemus, if the host is still for sale what would shipping to UK be? Don't want to sound silly but I guess there is space for a flexdrive circuit behind the aixiz module? How is the heatsink/head of the host joined to the body, is it threaded or some other method? thanks.
I am in no rush so if you could send the pcb I can wait as I would rather a professional reliable solution. I realy appreciate the offer of yours to send the pcb, thankyou so much. I have private messaged you my address, let me know if you get it OK, thanks Ian.
Thanks for the offer. How do I send my address to you? with a private message? By the way I am in UK so if you want me to Paypal you to cover the cost let me know, thanks.
Please help this is my first try at putting my laser into a host, I have an Ultrafire C3 stainless host, an Aixiz module with PHR diode, a Flexdrive driver, and a Darkhorse heatsink.
I am having trouble with working out how to attach the battery +ve to the driver and also the -ve. Should I...
Pretty much the same as proud2deviate above. I have an ledshoppe 50mW and it has a nice heavy feel to it, it wont burn, but it has a lovely nice tight green beam which appears to have good divergance.
I am very pleased with my laser and it is better than I expected.
Yeah, I was considering purchasing one of these diodes, but I am sure glad I didnt as over $100 is a lot to loose. Sometimes when you buy diodes they say there is no warranty with them, but I would hope the sellers would offer some kind of goodwill gesture to their customers?
For my first green laser I went with Ledshoppe after reading positive comments on them here, I cannot compare to other green lasers as this is the only one I have ever seen/used.
The pen/laser has a nice heavy solid feel to it, I am very happy with it, compared to my phr-803t blueray and my...
The MXDL flashlights from dealextreme seem popular around here, they are very flexible as they come with a variety of battery options depending on model. ||I believe the part number is 4171 for one of them. They are probably also popular as heatsinks are available from Jayrob to allow you to...
I think the voltage when in my host will be less than 9v I used for testing as I will be using two 14500 batteires in series, which I believe are 3.6v or similar. So maybe it wont get hot quite so quick.
I think I will attempt to use a small heatsink if it will fit in the host as it wont do...
I am building a laser with an LPC815 diode and Rkcstr driver, it will be in a flashlight host but I wanted to test it and adjust the current first so I used a 9v battery I had handy, I set current to around 420mA with my dummy load.
When testing with dummy load and diode the driver seemed to...
Are you asking if they will get through customs? \i dont see why not as my 50mw green from ledshoppe arrived OK. If you are asking are they illegal to owm/use, then I dont know, but if you don't do anything stupid with them I dont see there being a problem.
I think I read somewhere that if...
