Hahahaha it's not impossible. The IMR type 18650 Li-Ion cells can have a discharge rate of 10C thus you could draw 15Amps. 15 x 4v = 60 Watts. Theoretically possible :)

Yes I've got a constant current driver, set to drive it at 1.15A. Current output has been verified many times with various diodes. Ampmeter always reads 1.15A through the diodes. Thanks.

This isn't the M140. The M140 is a 5.6mm Casio diode right? This is a 9mm Nichia diode which is around 500mW more powerful than the M140.
