    any low power 445nm lasers

Anyone know of any lower power/cheap (newwish grade):) <100mw 445nm lasers available or coming down the pike? Sorry if it's been asked already but I couldn't find anything listed in a search or two. I did find this on Epray but the price is "way too high" for the power. If I was gonna pay that...

OK...I admit that I'm addicted to watching the TV show called "House" Flame away!:na: Anyway...tonights show had House shining a green laser at one of the doctors. And not just at the body. He traced a circle around the doctors eye face on. The first thing I thought of was :wtf:....one slip...

    Door Peephole optics??

Anyone ever play around with a door peephole? What sort of useful optics are inside? A bunch of Google/forum searches and I came up with nothing about the actual optics that are used. Interesting enough...some of the peepholes are the same diameter as an Aixiz module. (12mm) I'm sure most of...

    Host Idea

Here's an idea I've been thinking about for a host. It's probably considered "outside the box" and a hell of a lot of work! Start with an outside threaded tube with an inside diameter large enough to slip an Aixiz module and whatever battery you want to use into. Take about 4-5 silver dollars...

    determining IR (Infrared)

Hey folks, I've been mulling this over in my head for a few days (as well as searching) and can't quite figure it out..... Lets say you have an un-IR-filtered 532nm laser that measures 200mw on an LPM. You install an IR filter and then it measures 150mw. Without knowing the efficiency of a...

    Disco laser light

Is anyone familiar with this unit? Primarily can the power output be decreased easily? I'm thinking of a christmas decoration idea but the duty cycle is only 2 hrs. I'm hopeing turning the power down considerably can extend that to continuous operation. Also is the pattern a starburst or some...

    Product idea??

I was outside playing with my star-cap 532nm greenie last night. I pointed it at the only tree in my yard and thought it would make a neat Christmas light display. Kind of like putting Christmas lights in the tree but with lasers:) All it would take is a small, slow speed motor, to rotate the...

Just an FYI if you only need a part or two for your next project. Moyer is an electronics parts retailer with a no-minimum policy that I have used on many occasions in the past. They will ship 1 resistor in an envelope if that's all you need:), and don't gouge on the shipping to make up the...
