Also, my original plans for this setup was to use the M21G convoy host, which would have a heatsink diameter closer to 45-48mm. But for prototype/testing purposes, I was going to use the M21A/E heatsink size, installed into a C8 host with the battery extension tube to allow for higher power...

Good information, I like that you backed up your argument with proper information- But you’re forgetting that there will be 2 fans and a additional heatsink on the outside of the original heatsink to cool down the hot side.. obviously the efficiency of this design would depend on a few things...

Yeah, here’s my Frankenstein build.. lol And yeah, guess what, convoy sells the C8 extension tubes. So if the new owner wants to upgrade his capacity, he can. I’ve already informed him about it right after I shipped the laser to him.
