Good luck with that... I've returned a couple of those KD 50mW CR2 lasers and they've never let me ship them to a US address. I always had to send them to a Hong Kong address and it takes 3-4 weeks for them to receive it.

I snapped a picture of the beam fully expanded by the focusing lens. This shot is from about 6 feet away. It was interesting to note that when first turning it on, the beam is sort of square shaped but quickly (~1sec.) shifts to a nice, round TEM00 mode and stabilizes there.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. The tracking is just about worthless. I received mine long before it ever showed up in the tracking system.

The stock battery seems fine. It certainly lasts a long time.. I've been working (playing) with it quite a bit and it seems to run for hours on a single charge. I also picked up a UltraFire WF-137 charger and two extra UltraFire 18650 batteries on Ebay for cheap.. I haven't had a chance to even...

I didn't try two 3.6V CR123s.. KD was pretty specific that it works with a single 18650 3.0V/3.6V Li-ion battery or two 3.0V lithiums. Two 3.0V CR123s did work but it was a tight fit even with the unprotected cells I have on hand. I couldn't screw the battery cap on quite all the way. Protected...

Yea.. About 8-10 days after the KD web site reported it as shipped. I was never able to pull up any tracking through the Hong Kong post. I was a little surprised when it showed up.

You can't make filter incoherent light to make coherent light. Coherence is a characteristic of light waves that are in phase. High End Systems used to market an "Emulator" that did a pretty darn good job of simulating laser beam effects and even limited projected graphics. Check out this...

Since the IR is supposedly passed by the exposed film, it shouldn't be responsible for any burning. The main 532nm component of the beam is absorbed by the film however and burns through. I'm not much of a burning aficionado but I'll see what I can do. The main problem I have with any close...
