    New halloween store display... safe?

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has come across a 'display'/'novelty' laser setup that shoots a blue wavelength diode module through a line generating lens that's safe at eye level? I came across this at the halloween store today. They'd created a little 'horror hallway' type thing with half a...

wavelength of 10th Doctor's sonic screwdriver?

Basically the title... I'm hoping someone out there has played with one of these blue/uv sonic screwdrivers and know what the wavelength might be. I'm looking for photoreceptors sensitive to something in the general range it might put out. Thanks...

    WTB-low power blues

Looking for a low-priced blue pointer... 473 preferred, 445 OK. 5mw 473 would be ideal. I'm looking for a "toy" vs. something I need goggles for. Have they come down in price much over the last couple years? From what I've read on here, 445nm's don't lase at the lower power levels...? Is that...

    Cool UV laser flourescing(?)

I assume this is some type of fluorescence : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRl6cT-TNwQ (Much cooler than that lame Wonder Woman video I posted earlier. Sorry about that. It was early and my brain was still booting. :))

    Wonder Woman vs. The Laser

    Glow in the dark observation

So, I'm shooting my daguin-built 9mw blu-ray at some glow-in-the-dark Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty (http://www.puttyworld.com) and I noticed the center of the dot is actually a tiny bit dimmer than the edge of where it was... Even trails. I wish I could post a picture, but even if I had it, I'm...

blu-ray pointer wanted. exch. for kryton barrel?

Hey all, Looking to trade my beautiful Kenom-made Kryton groove barrel for a small, blu-ray pointer. I screwed up the process of moving my blu-ray diode into it. I had previously messed up the leads to a point where they were too fragile to survive the transfer. I don't really have a lot of...

ebay item : SMD soldering/heat gun station

Hey guys. I'm posting a few of these up on ebay over the next week or two. No reserve on this one, it's the first. I'm just trying to get a good idea what they'll be going for... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300252856350

    transporting my blu-ray...

I just thought you guys might get a mild kick out of my experience. I was flying out to MacWorld in January, eager to show my friend my home-made blu-rays... I'm at the airport... I have my laptop in my suitcase with two little black project boxes... each measuring 1 by 2 by 3 inches... guess...

    ?Diode removal from Aixiz housings

I got one of my two out last night, but didn't really want to destroy the diode in the process. Any suggestions for getting them out of there? Is there a particular tool that anyone recommends? Perhaps for those little tiny holes? I used the butt of my xacto blade and whacked the bladeless tip...
